I just don't understand why you would go through the trouble of installing an unsupported version of OMSA on a system with whose hardware it is not familiar, when you could easily download 6.2 which is fully supported on the 710. Why not have both available? Its not like it is prohibitively large. An older version of OMSA is only required for servers 6th generaton (1650, 2650, 6650) and older, as 6.2 will work on 8G through 11G servers. Cool … I guess. I've been having to carry around two sets of installation files so I can install osma depending on the hardware platform. Hopefully I can install v6 on 2900's using this trick. It prompts and informs that you've not run the prereq checker but will let you install it anyways.
