I resolved the problem at 1500 this afternoon. This was reading several posts on windowsbbs.com on an identical problem. After reading through 3 pages of threads, the individual with the problem arrived at the solution - UPGRADE THE ROUTER'S FIRMWARE & REINITIALIZE IT it worked like a charm. I upgraded Netgear RP614 firmware 614V1.11 to the latest and last available 614V1.14. I hope this helps anyone else who might be experiencing the same problem.

I am currently running 4 systems on a Microsoft Home network through a Netgear RP 614 Router and a Netgear WG602 WAP. Two systems are running under XP Pro SP2. One of these is a notebook connecting via 802.11b. The other is hardwired and running Adobe Acrobat V 8.1.2. The third is running under XP Media Center Edition SP2 The MCE is running Adobe Acrobat V5.0. The most recent addition is tunning under Vista Home Premium MCE with SP 1. I had originally installed Acrobat V8 on this unit and upgraded to Version 9 - which, during its installation indicated that V 8 would be uninstalled permanently on the system on which I was installing V9. It further encouraged me to re-install V8 on another system, if I so desired - thus the installation of V8 on the previously described system. The installation of V9 seemed to hang a little at the end, but finished with the "Installation successful" message and I clicked on finished. Ever since that installation, I have not been able to access, download and install updates to Acrobat Flash for Firefox V3 - neither can I access Adobe.com on this system using either Firefox V3 or IE V7 - although while flash videos will play using IE V7, they do not play using Firefox V3. To further complicate and confuse matters I am unable to access adobe.com on any of the systems on my network using either IE V6 or Firefox V2 - while flash videos do play on my other systems. Immediately I thought the problem was that somehow adobe.co m had been blocked by my router - a check with my router configuration and a call to Netgear support confirmed I had covered all of the bases. I then took my laptop to a another WIFI network and had no problem accessing Adobe.com. My next step was to do a "repair" on my Version 9 installation of Acrobat (remembering the hang at the end. This produced no improvement in ability to load the plug- ins for Firefox V3 or to access adobe.com. I then did a comparison check of the sysinfo for the reinstalled V8 and the repaired V9 relative to plug-ins. The list for V8 is at least 4X greater that that for V9. I then called adobe tech support, died on hold and contacted the HQ in San Jose and no one has yet to return my call - hence this note to you as your site came up in a Google search. Do you have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your anticipated support,
